Save Electricity - Avoid Global Warming

SAVE ELECTRICITY TO AVOID GLOBAL WARMING

Nobody would have forgotten the disasters created by Tsunami. Due to global warming more disasters may occur. Electricity is also one of the factor for global warming. Nowadays there is a large gap between supply and demand of electricity. So it is necessary to save electricity. An unit saved is equal to an unit produced.

The following are the ways to use electricity efficiently.

  •  While going out, ensure twice that you have switched of lights in all the rooms, television, computer, radio, DVD players.
  • Switch of lights at unnecessary places
  • Latest electronic equipments have standby feature and draws small amount of electricity even you have switched off, so remove the plug if you are going on vacation.
  • Avoid opening window and doors while air conditioner is running.
  • Avoid wastage of water during brushing and bathing, by doing so you can save electricity required for loading the water tank.
  • Use instant water heaters.
  • Avoid using lights during day time, use CFL or LED lamps.
  • Do not keep hot items inside refrigeration, wait till it reaches room temperature. Do not keep refrigerator near stove or straight sunlight.
  • Do not keep frozen items inside oven.
  • Always use washing machine with its full capacity.
  • Use electronic regulators for the fans.
  • Press your clothes weekly instead of daily.
  • Do not charge your cell phone overnight. Charger consumes around 3 Watts per hour. If possible charge your phone through car or computer's USB port.
Play nominal role in avoiding global warming.

Cockroaches

The house we live is not entirely own by us. It is also belongs lots of small creatures like ants, cockroaches, lizards, bed bugs and even rats. So don't feel that you are alone in your house. Out of all these creatures we are some what more uncomfort with the cockroaches. To get rid of them we try all kind of war against them, starting from killing them using chappal (even with bare legs) ,  broomstick, pouring hot water, drawing lines with chalk, pesticide spray, herbal pastes etc. But the fact is cockroaches are cleaning our house by eating all wastes and rotten food substances spilled on the floor. Usally they will come out during night time.

Ten facts about cockroaches

  1. Cockroaches are one of the oldest species in this world.
  2. Cockroaches live in a wide ranges of environments.
  3. American cockroach is the largest of the house-infesting cockroaches.
  4. Lifespan of a cockroach is 3-4 months.
  5. A female cockroach produce around 300 offspring during its lifetime.
  6. Cockroaches, like all insects, breathe through a system of tubes called tracheae.
  7. Cockroach blood is not red because they do not use hemoglobin to carry oxygen.
  8. Some male cockroaches can even gain altitude when they fly, most only use their wings to glide.
  9. There is an opinion that, cockroaches are more resistant to radiation and in a world nuclear war, only the cockroaches would survive.
  10. Some of the earliest writings about cockroaches encouraged their use as medicine.
I decided not to kill the cockroaches, at least until they become a real nuisance.

When anger comes?

Anger is a very powerful emotion that can stem from feelings of frustration, hurt, annoyance or disappointment

The above is the definition of anger, but my experience are as follows....

  • In a real life, when you are answerable and you don't have answer or you don't want to answer or if your answer will unveil a series of questions that you have to answer, to avoid answering anger comes as a solution.
  • In an argument, if your opponent is more clever  or have more points to present, then to get rid of the argument anger comes as the solution.
  • At some situations you have to pretend that you got "anger" in order to set things right. Example anger with kids.

Your comments are welcome..............

My Trip to Kotilingeswara Temple

On 17 th June 2012, I went for a trip to Kotilingeswara temple with my family. The Kotilingeshwara Temple is situated in Kammasandra Village in Kolar district, Karnataka State, India and distance of around 95Km  from Bangalore. The temple is about 6 km from Kolar Gold Field.

The main attraction of this temple is that it is constructed with the motive of installing of One Crore Shivlingas. Currently there are 9 million lingas are installed. Every day more and more lingas are being installed by the devotees. The Temple is open to public from early morning till 9.30 p.m.The temple has largest Linga in Asia which stands for around 108 feet.  In front of this huge Linga there is a huge Nandi. There are several small temples of various deities within the premises of the Lord Kotilingeshwara temple.

There is both road and train connectivity to this temple from Bangalore. The nearest railway station is oorgam (KGF).  We went by Marikuppam passenger train from Byappanahalli to Oorgam. From the railway station to bus station we went by autorikshaw. From the Robertsonpet Bus stand within 10 minutes of journey we reached the temple.

Kotilingeswara is the best place to go for an one day trip from Bangalore. My suggestion is to have your lunch packed as there are no good hotels near the temple.

Change in opinion

During my schooldays, topic about transgender will be taken only to criticize or scold the guys. But when i grew up my opinion changed. They are also human beings having all the feelings like others. Their status was not decided by them but nature. I made a resolution that I should give them proper respect what they deserve. Society starts with individual. I hope one day will come, that they will also enjoy all their social rights.
